FinishTrax guide

A task app that waits quietly until you open it

FinishTrax does not send task reminders, badges, streak alerts, marketing notifications, or messages designed to make you return. It holds the plan until you choose to open it.

Short answer: FinishTrax is intentionally not a reminder app. The only notification it can make is a local timer-complete alert for a countdown session that the user started.

What the app does not send

  • No due-date reminders.
  • No “you have unfinished tasks” messages.
  • No streak warnings or score changes.
  • No app badges asking for attention.
  • No marketing or “come back” notifications.

The one clear exception

When you start a countdown timer, FinishTrax can make one local notification when that timer ends. This lets you leave the app while the session runs. You started the timer, and you can mute the ending sound in Settings.

Who may prefer this design?

A quiet task app can fit someone who already knows when to open their plan, uses a calendar for alerts, or finds repeated productivity messages distracting. It can also fit someone who wants the task tool to store structure without competing for attention.

Who should choose something else?

If missing an alert would cause a serious problem, FinishTrax should not be your only system. Use Apple Reminders, Calendar, another alert tool, or an app built around notifications. FinishTrax does not pretend that one design fits everyone.

Common questions

Does FinishTrax send task reminders?

No. FinishTrax does not send scheduled task reminders, badges, streak alerts, marketing notifications, or messages asking the user to return.

Can FinishTrax ever send a notification?

Yes, in one narrow case. A countdown timer started by the user can send one local notification when it reaches zero. Its sound can be muted.

Is a no-reminder task app right for everyone?

No. People who need due-date alerts or persistent reminders should use another reminder system alongside FinishTrax or choose a different app.
